A Morning Coffee Stop Before Thrifting
Yesterday, after dropping my husband off at the stadium for a football game, I took my mother-in-law and kids to check out a nearby coffee and donut shop. It was only about five minutes from the drop-off point, making it a convenient stop for breakfast and coffee before the rest of our day.
First Impressions
The shop was small and cozy, but not especially esthetically pleasing. It was good enough for a quick stop, though the bathroom could use a little more attention. They had an assortment of donuts displayed for the kids to choose from which made for a fun start.
What We Ordered
- Iced Pumpkin Spice Latte with almond milk and pumpkin cold foam – creamy and delicious, the cold foam gave it the perfect finish.
- My mother-in-law ordered the Autumn Sweater (maple syrup and caramel) – not bad, but not a favorite.
- The kids each chose a donut – The EP Strawberry(strawberry sprinkle), Maple Bourbon Bacon, and Dutch Chocolate. Fun for them, but the donuts were a bit cold and not super fresh.
- We also tried a sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit which my middle son loved it so much he did not want to share.
What Makes It Special
The seasonal pumpkin latte stood out as the highlight of the visit for me. The flavor was balanced and the pumpkin cold foam added a creamy twist. I also noticed they had a spicy jalapeño biscuit on the menu, which I’m sure my husband would love on our next visit.
Vibe Check
Cute and cozy enough for a sit-down with family, but not a spot you would pick for the décor alone. It felt casual, like a convenient neighborhood stop rather than a destination coffee house.
Mom Win
The kids enjoyed picking out their donuts and were entertained while we sat and had our coffee. Even though the donuts weren’t warm or fresh, the experience itself kept them happy.

Would I go back? Yes, mainly for the pumpkin drink and to let my husband try that jalapeño biscuit. The donuts were a bit of a miss, but the convenience and coffee made it a solid choice for a casual stop with kids in tow. I would try their donuts again next time to check for freshness. Maybe we just caught them on and off day. It happens.
