The Daily Marathon

Some days I feel like I’m running a never-ending marathon. The race starts before the sun is even up. Packing school lunches, finding the missing shoe, signing the permission slip I almost forgot about, and trying to get everyone out the door without losing my mind or my coffee.

The Demands

Being a mama is not for the faint of heart. It’s late nights rocking a sick little one when your own body aches for sleep. It’s juggling sports practices, sports games, and school events, while praying you didn’t double-book yourself. It’s the grocery trips with kids in tow, the never-ending pile of laundry, and the moments in the car when you wonder if you’ve forgotten something important… again.

Joy in the Chaos

It’s also the smiles after a long day, the little arms wrapped around your neck, and the “I love you” whispered before bed. It’s laughing until your stomach hurts over something silly they said. It’s those rare moments of quiet when you look at them and wonder how you got so lucky.

Guilt and Doubt

There are days I feel guilty. The days I forget to sign a paper, the mornings I snap out of frustration, the times I’m too tired to play one more game. I question if I’m really cut out to be their mom. But then I remember, I am. I was chosen for them, and they were chosen for me.

The Truth About Superwomen

We can’t always be superwomen. We can’t be perfect every moment of every day. But we can love them fiercely. We can show up, even when it’s messy. We can keep trying, even when we feel like we’re falling short.

Being a mom is the hard days, the fun times, the little moments, the meltdowns, and everything in between. And even with all the chaos, I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I am made for this, and so are you.
