First Impression
We were already big fans of Southern Charm Coffee Co’s Cross Plains location, so when we heard they were opening a new spot in Greenbrier, we had to check it out. The new location is drive thru only, which makes it super convenient for busy mornings or quick pick-me-ups. Greenbrier doesn’t have many local coffee options, so this is a really great addition to the community. During their soft and grand opening, the service was friendly, quick, and full of small-town charm!
What We Ordered
On the soft opening day, I ordered an Iced Pumpkin Spice Latte with almond milk, and it was so good I ordered the same thing again at the grand opening! It’s become my go-to seasonal drink at Southern Charm. We all LOVED the cute little charm toppers. Like how stinkin’ cute are they?!?
My husband went with the Cookie Monster Frappe (mocha frappe blended with real chocolate chip cookies and topped with whipped cream, and cookie pieces). He couldn’t stop sipping it. He drank it so fast! He especially loved the little cookie crumbles on top.
My mother-in-law tried an Iced Southern Charm (white chocolate and creme de menthe) during the soft opening. She said it had a light mint aftertaste, which was a hit since she’s a big peppermint mocha fan. At the grand opening, she ordered the Iced Caramel Bliss (caramel and vanilla breve) and declared it her new favorite.
My daughter and son joined us at the grand opening as well. My son ordered a Lil’ Charms Orange Juice, and my daughter ordered a Blue Raspberry Dirty Dr Pepper. They had run out of Dr Pepper that day, so she tried it with Coke instead. It looked a little odd in color, but she said it was still delicious with the mix of blue raspberry, coconut, and cream topper.
We stopped by again on our way to my boys basketball games that morning and grabbed coffee through the drive thru. I tried a large Iced Frosted Gingerbread Latte with almond milk, and my mother in law ordered a large Iced Caramel Pecan Pie Latte. Both were good and hit the spot before a busy day.
I will say… I already miss the pumpkin. It has been my favorite seasonal drink so far.
What Makes It Special
Southern Charm really knows how to bring small-town hospitality and great coffee together. Their flavor combos are creative without being over-the-top, and everything tastes fresh and well-balanced. The pumpkin spice latte has the perfect mix of spice and sweetness, and the Caramel Bliss lives up to its name. If I don’t have an iced pumpkin spice latte in hand I reach for an iced caramel latte. Always.
We love that they’ve opened in Greenbrier, a community that needed a go-to coffee stop. Even better, the staff is genuinely kind, and they’re great at making recommendations if you’re not sure what to try.
They also do Donut Day Fridays where you get a free donut with any purchase (saw that on their social media and love the idea).
Vibe Check
Even though both locations are drive-thru only, it still gives off that cozy Southern Charm feel. The team always greets you with a smile, and you can tell they’re proud to be part of the Greenbrier community. Quick service, friendly faces, and high-quality drinks make the perfect combo.
Mom Win
When you can grab your favorite seasonal latte without getting the kids out of the car, that’s a total mom win. This new location is close to home, easy to access, and always consistent. That’s a huge plus for busy mornings or post-school treat runs.
