First Impressions
Lux Coffee Co. is a newer (2024) spot located right off South Limit Avenue offering a clean, modern space with plenty of natural light.
Fun fact: Lux’s stylish setup may look familiar. It’s housed in a beautifully renovated space that used to be a gas station. Now, it’s one of the many unique and modern coffee shops in Sedalia, blending local history with a fresh, cozy vibe.
Another huge plus? They have a drive-thru which is a total win for busy moms (like me) who need caffeine without unloading kids or losing momentum on a packed day.
What I Ordered
Iced Caramel Latte with almond milk is creamy, smooth, and not too sweet.
Note: The wait was a little longer than expected, but the barista was kind, and offered a genuine apology. That goes a long way in my book.

Lux Coffee Co gets major points for their kids’ play area. This visit I went child-free, but next time I won’t have to! It makes a huge difference when you’re trying to sneak in a latte with littles in tow. They also have a drive-thru. Sometimes getting out of the car just isn’t happening with littles. Whether you’ve got sleeping kids in the back, a full to-do list, or you’re rocking the no-makeup-and-messy-bun look (no shame), this quick option makes it super convenient to grab your latte and breakfast muffin to-go.

While the wait time was longer than usual, the kind staff and cozy vibe made up for it. I’ll definitely be back to try more and watch how this sweet spot grows!
