First Impressions
Story Book Cottage is a charming little bookstore tucked away in Greenbrier. While I’m not much of a book reader myself, my mother-in-law is, and she fell in love with the cozy vibe. The kids’ section stood out right away because it’s colorful, creative, and designed to keep little ones engaged.
I’ve been to two of their events now, and both have been so fun. Even when we just stop by casually, there’s always something unique happening.

What My Son Loved
On this visit, my son got to do a scavenger hunt around the cottage. He looked for different cute characters hidden throughout the store, and once he found them all, he received a prize pack with coloring sheets, crayons, and temporary tattoos. Along with the fun game, he grabbed popcorn and a cupcake, which made the experience even more exciting for him.

What I Ordered
While he was busy with the scavenger hunt, I ordered a pumpkin iced latte with almond milk. It was strong, delicious, and exactly the kind of pick-me-up I needed. Story Book Cottage also serves coffee and other drinks, which is such a nice bonus for adults who want to enjoy the visit as much as the kids.

What Makes It Special
The cottage may be small, but every detail has been carefully thought out. From the way the shelves are decorated to the creative touches around the store, it feels whimsical and inviting. It’s more than just a bookstore, it’s a space where families can enjoy reading, treats, and fun activities together.
If I could wish for one thing, it would be a bigger building to allow for even more space. But honestly, the coziness is part of the charm, and it’s what makes the place feel like a true “storybook” escape.
